Classic pop songs reframed in an inventive, ethereal choral setting.

The album is a culmination of years of choral arrangements by Doust as commissioned by multiple choirs, including Khorikos, The Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, Choral Chameleon, Illumen and the Inversion Ensemble, among others.

“I wanted to produce this album to get definitive recordings of many of the songs I’ve written over the last 5 years,” says Doust. “Part of the goal behind these arrangements was to show that any genre - from country to grunge to dance to rock - could all be translated in a cohesive choral setting.”

Doust sees the album as a way for choirs across the world to embrace a new relationship with the pop and classical music worlds.

Doust trained as a composer at the University of Sydney and a film composer at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney, Australia before moving to New York where he began writing choral arrangements in 2011.
